Last summer, I had a straight oil change done and a replacement pair of brake pads. I requested they look at my AC because it was blowing very little cold air. (My car is out of warranty). I was told that the AC unit is a closed circuit and as long as the air is not warm, it is fine and that nothing can be done to fix the problem. Almost a year later, I took the car to my mechanic and he filled the AC with fluid and now it is ice cold. This dealership didn't give me that choice, they didn't even check my air conditioner. It appears this was a dishonest tactic to get me to change the entire AC unit in the future or they just didn't care to check it. They get 2 stars for properly changing the oil and brake pads. Because of this dealership I drove my car for almost a year with an almost warm AC unit.
